Job Description

Your role will be to drive new business development across the India. Taking the fire and security range of products and services to new clients requiring annual contracts for the servicing and maintenance of their equipment. You will target an annual figure of service and maintenance contracts, acquiring new customers looking to renew or change from the current incumbent. You will be targeting end users, large scale organizations and multiple site holders within the sector looking to use services such as fire alarms, intruder, CCTV, access control, monitoring, manned guarding and many other related products and services.
Within the role you will be leading the business development across the India region and identify opportunities to increase profitability by the inclusion of services to further the portfolio of the potential or existing customers. You will have the support of engineering and operations to present solutions of varying sizes to customers. Creating a professional and all encompassing image of the company is essential.

You will be remotely based with the need to attend the key offices on a regular basis to present results and for training on the business and products.

  1. Develop a strategic plan for the company’s growth within your area
    2. Identify new opportunities to generate revenue
    3. Present and negotiate potential deals with partners from all levels of companies
    4. Drive execution of the company’s strategic plan
    5. Manage budgets and forecast revenues
    6. Provide guidance and support to team members on various tasks
    7. Ensure team members are meeting deadlines
    8. Ensure that all projects are on track to meet deadlines
    9. Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations in all areas of the company, including marketing, human resources, legal, design etc.

You will be part of a wider team and organization which you will play a key role in communicating with. This will be to deliver sales opportunities to other areas including the service team and other parts of the Group.

Reporting directly to the Head of Sales for installation, you will manage a monthly target for both profit and turnover. Integrating into the CRM you will deliver daily, weekly and monthly activity for sales generation and pipeline.

You will be part of a wider team and organization which you will play a key role in communicating with. This will be to deliver sales opportunities to other areas including the service team and other parts of the Group.

The ideal candidate will firstly have a proven track record of sales generation and growth within an annual target, which is constantly exceeded. You will have developed a commercial understanding of profit margins and how to increase these using techniques and the company’s services.

The candidate will also ideally come from a background of fire and security with experience of service and maintenance contract sales across a range of products and services.

You will have impeccable planning and time management skills to maximize the most efficient execution to deliver expected growth, for which you will be rewarded highly.

Other market sectors involving service contract selling will be considered if the candidate can show clear advantages in terms of their sales pedigree and communication.

As you will lead the sales in your portfolio there will be a need to demonstrate organization and pipeline management, with the opportunity to expand the sales team this role could be pivotal in a progression with a clear demonstration of success.

Within your skills will be the ability to show the stages of sales from prospecting to closing and the communication skill desired to deliver consistently in a pressured and fast moving workplace.

Job Description

The Fire Protection Commissioning Engineer will lead commissioning program related document reviews, construction site inspections, and system testing; and to properly document all work activities completely and legibly. Duties will include both office work and construction site work, and will require supervision of assigned Commissioning Engineers. Projects types generally can range from residential and commercial to institutional and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
– Implement Testing and Commissioning Program for this discipline.
– To apply the company commissioning approach and philosophy to on-going projects.
– To be cognizant of business opportunities with current clients both in terms of new work and current contract changes in scope.
– To understand and apply the project contract to the execution of the work.
– To utilize the master commissioning document library for creation of project specific inspection checklists and test forms under the guidance of a Commissioning Manager.
– To understand and apply the project Commissioning Plan in the execution of the work.
– To independently conduct commissionability reviews of project documents.
– To independently conduct construction progress inspections.
– To independently conduct commissioning inspections and execute commissioning tests based on documented procedures.
– To identify system conditions that are abnormal, to determine their cause, and to recommend corrective actions.
– To execute work in a manner compliant with the project budget and schedule.
– To perform all other activities as required of a Commissioning Engineer.
– To actively participate in project Commissioning Meetings.
– To participate in group training activities and to train assigned commissioning engineers in an on-going fashion.

Job-specific Competencies
– Ability to implement a Testing and Commissioning Plan, Method Statements, Testing and Commissioning Procedures, Data Sheets, Testing Criteria, Testing and Commissioning Reports, and/or validate or invalidate testing and commissioning results for this discipline.
– Complete understanding of NFPA and other codes regarding Testing and Commissioning requirements for Fire Protection Systems, Fire Alarm Panels, devices, equipment, and other related Fire Life Safety requirements.
– Ability to work safely on active construction sites and to follow health and safety policies. Inspections will require work off of ladders and work near operating mechanical equipment and energized electrical equipment.
– To be competent in the use of all commissioning test equipment utilized in your area of expertise.
– Good working knowledge of MS Office software including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project.
– Excellent people skills.

 

Requirements

– Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Construction Engineering or any equivalent degree.
– Membership in Fire Protection/Fire Life Safety organization, and/or professional commissioning organization preferred (Building Commissioning Association, Commissioning Specialist Association, etc.)
– Excellent verbal and written English communications skills required Arabic verbal and written skills beneficial.
– Commissioning provider certification preferred (CCP, CPMP, CSA Grade 2, etc.) Sustainability program certification preferred (Estidama, LEED, BREEAM, QSAS, Green Star, etc.)
– 4 years commissioning experience in area of expertise preferably in International or GCC work experience.
– Prior experience working directly with Qatar Civil Defence on Fire Protection Systems is highly desirable.
– Experience in working on Mega Projects in the GCC is highly desirable.
